In calculating the time to travel from point A to point B it appears that a constant that's used in the time for the trip averages near 60 MPH. At least that's the time shown on a 200 mile trip from Torrance CA to San Luis Obispo, CA. The speed for this trip is calculated based on an average of 60 MPH. The reality is that during the day the average speed is in the mid to high 40's with inevitable congestion on the 405 and 101. Does this site take these variables into consideration?
